Dyson

Dyson, Freeman John. - Fisico teorico britannico naturalizzato statunitense (n. Crowthorne, Reading, 1923). Ricercatore a Cambridge, Birmingham e Princeton, poi professore di fisica presso la Cornell University (1951-52) e dal 1953 presso l'Institute for Advanced Study di Princeton (1953-94, emerito dal 1994). Dal 2003 è presidente dello Space Studies Institute. Autore di importanti studî in varî campi della fisica teorica, in particolare sull'elettrodinamica quantistica e sulle interazioni tra particelle elementari, è membro di numerose accademie e ha ricevuto molteplici premî e riconoscimenti.
