Lasky, Jesse L

Produttore e impresario statunitense (San Francisco 1880 - Beverly Hills 1958); cercatore d'oro, giornalista, impresario di spettacoli musicali, nel 1913 fondò con S. Goldwyn e C. B. De Mille la Jesse L. Lasky feature play company, associatasi nel 1916 alla Famous Players (poi Paramount) della quale fu vice presidente fino al 1932, anno in cui creò la Jesse L. Lasky Productions. Nel 1935 presidente della Pickford-Lasky Prod., passò nel 1941 alla Warner Bros, e tornò nel 1944 alla Jesse L. Lasky Productions.
